We visit and see the magnificence of Nakhal Fort first-hand, situated on a rocky mountain overlooking a small town. We then visit Thowarah Spring, known for its warm spring water full of minerals and healing properties, followed by an off-road track through the greenery and small mountain villages to uncover the famous Wadi Bani Awf with its hidden water pools.
We walk around the village of Bilad Sayt, known for its steep agricultural terraces. We go further up to the mountain of Jabal Shams, the highest mountain in Oman at 3000 meters. Along the way, we will discover small villages tucked away behind the rugged mountain terrain, until we reach the peak where we enjoy the breathtaking view. We spend the rest of the evening at the gorgeous Jebel Shams Resort.
We head down to Al Hamra, visiting the ruins and remnants of what used to be ancient settlements. Misfah is also right nearby, a scenic and cozy mountain village. We go around Nizwa, the former capital of Oman and visit impressive 17th Century Forts and take a look around its souqs, famous for Bedouin Silver Jewelry.
An exciting drive around the blazing dunes of Wahiba Desert is next! This sea of dunes rising up to hundreds of meters high, used to be the home of the Bedouin Tribe, people with sturdy spirits with unrivaled skills to be able to survive in tough terrains and harsh climates. We can still see some Bedouins in the desert, and tourists have the chance to see observe their lifestyle by inviting them over their houses and even get to see some of their handicrafts.

On the last day, we visit the most renowned Wadi Bani Khaid, known for its pristine waters cascading down the waterfalls. We also have the chance to swim in the crystal clear waters.
Next, we drop by the fishing town of Sur, and visit a traditional dhow yard, which is also the biggest dhow building center of Arabia where we can see these boats being made the traditional way. Sur is renowned for being one of the greatest ports in the ancient times. We drive through Tiwi, which has an amazing oasis full of palms, mango and banana trees in the middle of a rocky gorge.
Tiwi is reputed to be one of the most gorgeous destinations in Oman with a breathtaking entrance with a view unfolding to the valley full of aquamarine pools and terraced plantations. Finally, we drive to a Sink Hole containing tranquil turquoise waters, which invites for a quick swim. We return to Muscat for the evening.
